Let’s get together for an interactive and fun afternoon in support of kids like Verdann!

Starting Point: ACEC-BC Building Lobby (409 Granville Street, Vancouver)
The Scavenger Race will take place in downtown Vancouver
Ending Point: TBC, downtown Vancouver

ACEC-BC has teamed up with United Way of the Lower Mainland to create a scavenger race for consulting engineering teams.

It's ‘the Amazing Race’ meets a good ol' nostalgic Scavenger Hunt! We're turning downtown Vancouver into one mega board game where you and your team will solve a set of clues, posting findings and photos on social media along the way for our judges. Only one group will win the trophy so choose your team wisely and come prepared to compete.

This will be a great team-building activity - families and friends and also welcome to participate in the afternoon event!

The race will end at a pub in downtown Vancouver (location tbc), where appetizers will be provided and prizes will be distributed (cash bar will also be available).

Register your team of 4 players today and raise a minimum of $250 to compete on March 3rd!  More event details below.

United Way has been helping people in the Lower Mainland for over 86 years. United Way funds 146 local organizations that provide over 318 programs and services in 26 communities in the Lower Mainland.  With your help, United Way puts together the right resources and people to move  families from poverty to possibility, help kids be all they can be, and build strong communities for all.

Fundraise to participate!  Each team must raise a minimum of $250 to participate in the race. For every additional $250 your team raises, you’ll be awarded a bonus point in the hunt. Send your team page to friends, colleagues and family so they can join us in supporting kids in the Lower Mainland.

Prizes will be awarded for:  Team with the most funds raised; Company with the most funds raised; First Team to Cross the Finishing Line; Last Team to Cross the Finishing Line; Best Costumes; and more!

Agenda:

1:30pm - Sign in / distribution of instructions at ACEC-BC building lobby (409 Granville Street, Vancouver)

2:00pm - On your mark, get set...Go!

4:30pm - Cross the finishing line! (Location TBC)

5:00pm - Winners are announced

5:30pm - End of event


Event FAQ's:

Q: How many people can be on a team?

A: The suggested team size is 4 people.


Q: Can my company have more than 1 team?

A: Yes! There is no limit to the number of teams per company.


Q: Besides the entry fee, our team would like to raise more funds for United Way - how can we do this?

A: Please use your team’s fundraising page on the Giveffect website to raise funds. You can share this link with friends, family and colleagues and ask them to make a contribution to your team.


Q: Will I receive a tax receipt if I make a donation on the Giveffect page?

A: Yes! All donations over $25 will receive an official tax receipt


Q: When will my team receive the instructions for the game?

A: All clues and instructions will be given out starting at 1:30pm on Saturday, March 3, so arrive early to get a head start on planning!
